Make sure your insurance covers other trades and with mine the subbie has to have a minimum of my PL. which i think is pretty standard

hiya thanks.

so basically i find a reputable say oven or carpet cleaner, ask for a quote, get a copy of their P&L ins, then if alls well, they invoice me for the work done.

in the meantime i invoice the price plus say 15% admin to the person/company who want the job done, and they pay me, and i pay the subbie.

is this right?

hi there

15% i probably would be looking to mark it up more than that.

hi martin

it was a rough guess, alright 25%, does that sound reasonable?

hi there

if you are going to form relationship with a contractor you need to establish from them the discount level thay they are prepared to give you based upon, possible return work levels.

then you can decide your mark up level

Lisa,

I did it once, but would never do it again.

When I added up profit made it wasn't worth doing!!

However the girls I had at the time let me down badly, needless to say we lost it, but the profit was very low!!

Hi Lisa,

We are close to your area and might be able to help you out as we are already sub contractors to several other cleaning companies, although, we do have our own work, sometimes, we do have spare capacity.

Regards

Graham

hi

i have found that if you sub out work it will come back and bite you on the arse as other companys just ant up to your standards.
TOP TIP...If you can't do it your self then dont do it at all...it will end in sleepless nights ..promis.....

all the best

Matt
