Hi to one and all

I require to hire or borrow a cherry picker for half a day, so does anyone know the best place to hire one from?

Just get a quote of a few. Do you have iPaf? If not you'll need one with a driver.

Local to me there's a guy who has an iveco van with a lift on,  he charges £40 ph which I think is very reasonable, have used him a few times

Most cherry picker hire places will charge a day ( or part of ) rate of around £300

You don't need IPAF  ::)roll You only need IPAF if your asked for it. I have ISSAR - same just a different lodge but I'm rarely asked for anything

I know you don't need it but can't see any commercial clients letting you on their site with out it. I've always been asked.

Never used a picker on a domestic job.

I agree!  When we do commercial they want it in the Method Statement and RAMS and they want the names of the operators together with confirmation that they will be carrying their licence with them.  Domestic  I am sure though is very different
