Title: Airflex Storm Question

I have a airflex storm and I have a question, I was reading on a forum that you have to leave the machine  turned on for 10 minutes to dry the vacuums,  is that correct? I haven't been doing this, what can happen?

Also, how often do you clean your machines out? the dirty tank I mean. I used it on 3 jobs now and didn't clean it due to poor access in my van, its a pain to take it off.

10 mins seems a bit long mate. I run mine for around 2 3 mins but after every job I clean my tank out ect to clean the filter. What can happen is foam can get pushed through to the vacuums  thanks Paul

Letting dry air pass through the vacuum will stop dampness sitting in them and create rust (?????) let it run with the lid open.

Do you mean clean the waste tank after you have emptied the dirty water into  a bucket?...... No need to clean it after every job, clean it once a week unless you do a real stinking job and use your machine in the house instead of at the front door ( don't want to be venting stinking air into the customer home)

If you have a bit of spare solution in the fresh tank when you finish make a  3ft length of hose and use the spare solution to rinse around the waste tank while the gate is open so you wash into the bucket.

You should have a 'priming hose' (the red one) which can be used to rinse out the waste tank as outlined by Mike...just takes a couple of minutes...it can be done whilst the machine is in the van and operational

I never do that ' dry the vac motors ' thing    ,    they cost about £100   , way too much hassle for something which may or may not add a couple of months to the life over a year or two .
Enforcer has the easiest to clean wastetank design i'd say .

Hi Mike, I meant after every job if I should clean it, now thinking about it the worst thing that can happen is it will start to smell (which it has started, tommorow is cleaning day for the machine after 3 jobs).

I will also try to run the vac motors up to 5 min after each job.

When your finished use the return hose from your clean tank to rinse out the waste tank takes a minute
