Anyone tried one if so what do you think?
-
Where do you get them from smurf?
-
yeah i've got one & its pretty good, the jet spray is wider than gardiner or xline fans but not much more powerful at low pressure but good for getting virosol etc on .
On a garden tap though they really are good for washing down & the brush gets into all the fiddly bits, i use it for 1st clean windows as well as fsg & conservatories
http://klipspringer.com/product/waterfed-side-bristle-brush---flagged/p226/cf9
this is a similar brush if you knew where to get wide jets & how to fit them you could make your own much cheaper
-
I often wonder why Gardiner's don't make a brush with the brushes sticking out sideways like that especially for when doing sofits, etc.
There's certainly a market for one as no major wfp supplier makes one.
-
Thanks for your feedback chaps but on reflection after the fsg jobs I did today due to weight I could not imagine that brush being on the end of me pole reaching 3 storeys up.
-
How much does it weigh?
-
How much does it weigh?
I'm guessing it's not lite looking at the stock & bristles compaired to the gardiner offerings thats for sure.
Maybe someone that has one could be kind enough to weigh it for us dry then wet?

get the the gym we clean three storys with xline brushes and a.d on the the end makes you shoulders big lol
-
wow 357g dry & 401g wet, so not for all day use, my normal brush is an extreme by the way
-
the guy that makes them is a great guy we have spoken to him a good few times , about local stuff , and ive only ever seen good reviews about it
-
It's a upvc cleaning brush and not for window cleaning. I have purchased one and one on order and best brush for guttering , cladding and conservatories I have ever used and been doing it nearly 15 years.. get yourself one !!

Anyone can clean 3 storey windows face on at the right angle as the weight of the pole and brush is partly transferred to the brush head so makes it easy rocking back and forth. It's a totally different story when you are trying to do fsg cleans for instance on town houses with guttering set back on the roof dormers (either side of them) 3 storeys up having to work on accute angles with a brick on the end of yer pole. ;D

Can somebody put a link up to this brush please ?

The fan jets look awesome , so does the brush , might be worth a try

That's what I'm thinking too.
I have numark fan jets already on a flocked brush and these look very similar.
I would cut the threaded socket off and fit a quick lock socket ( seen in the facebook pics somebody had already done that )
-
See what Smurf means now about the hype.
All I want to know is the price of the damn thing >:(
Anybody know ?
-
£49.99 inc postage
-
£49.99 inc postage
Well that's me out
I'll make my own :)

Had it been around the £30 mark I would have bought one but at £50, nope.
I'll be doing the same - making my own.

i just bought 1 of these

barry have you got a pic of how you fitted your lurmark jets , i got some from an agricultural supplier & can't see any way to fit them at all
-
Simon
Do yours look like these ? as in they already have a brass barb on them.
For me it was just a simple case of drilling holes and pushing them in, I used a bit of araldite to hold them firmly as I think I used a slightly oversized drill bit.
-
So a guy buy's in chepo off the shelf brushes from china in not very large quantities may I add. Sticks in two jets and then flogs them on for nearly 50 squid. Way to go... ::)roll
I did chuckle at the lichen busters jets too . What is this guy on as now he is saying that softer brush in a way is no good now so you now need to buy the new stiffer bristle brush with the new lichen and spour busting jets...ffs ;D ;D
-
Having watched the video, surely it's a case of turning up the water pressure?
It can't be that simply one make of fan jet rinses better or worse than another just due to design? The spray angle may be different but the fan jet cannot deliver more water unless the pressure is higher.
Yeah, £50. More fool any who buy it.
-
Why not just hypo the crap out of stuff instead of all that brushing?
Doh! sorry I meant softwash stuff instead...If it's good enough for the yanks then it's good enough for me...Yehaa! ;D
Spray on (with an wfp if overspray is an issue) & rinse if you want...Job done.
After all the guy also sells those battery powered pis chemical sprayers or whatever they are called too. Not alot of good if wanting to reach 3 storey stuff though or say gable ends on 2 storey etc ::)roll
-
Fair play to him if he can shift a few of them, some people just cant be bothered with diy, agree though that the sum of those parts just does not equal £50. That's the beauty of the internet and social media - anybody can wing it and make a few quid if they want to.
-
The price is 14.95 pound so I don`t know were the 30-50 quid comes from. No jets fitted .

Don't know how to from phone but Simon put link on first page of this thread. Yes £15 but add £9 postage and vat its almost double ! Doubt the facebook guys getting them from there either.

i got the blue ones barry but no way of fitting them, i didn't know the ones you have were lurmark

the spray is wider but not as powerful as xline fans & about the same as gardiner fans, but the wide spray & bristle placement make it pretty good when your on a customers tap,
unless i have step by step instructions i'm crap at diy so it was worth it to me & i've looked all over for the jets but can't find them

a lot like slx and extreme poles a guy ships them in from china prints his logos on them adds 150% to the price and everybody on here buys them

You're helping him sell them by saying that and giving the impression that they're a must have item because 'everyone buys them'. The power of advertising.
;D

I don't know the guy but on one of the Facebook groups he had posted apologising for not returning enquiries, so left his email address mobile number and so on.
I texted him with a small enquiry and guess what, he never replied lol.
I doubt I will ever deal with him.

You a fitting to screw onto thread in the end (a barb fitting erc...) for your hose to go onto
Then you want to drill a bigger hole into your brush and push the jet into it
The lumark blue fans are the best fans out there imo
They might make decent poles and brushes but X line and Gardiners fan jets are poope
-
Do u have a link where to buy those lumark fans pal?
-
from a farers fourm I am sure you clever guys will find them from what these are saying
it's the Hypro "Crop Spraying Pocket Guide" you need. Wouldn't / couldn't live without it.
Check there web site at http://www.hypro-eu.com/en-gb/ might have a link for the booklet?
