Title: Listed building biocide

Is a biocide safe to use on this door way of a hotel, and what would be the best way to apply it without getting it on door walls or pavement? Its a listed building also

I would do a test area on it with Algoclear or my new one when it arrives "Spray & Walk Away"

Well a test will prove it either way.  Miracle Heavy Duty Acidic Cleaner will defo get it off but my approach is to always try a gentle approach especially on a listed building and he is going to need approval anyway first

Why not just use tried and tested methods that are approved by english heritage in the first place.
If you don't own the kit then why don't you just pass the work on to another firm that does.

How am I meant to learn if I pass jobs on to other companies? The hotel haven't asked me to do this job I was going to ask them if they want it doing as the rest of the hotel has just been refurbished.

I like your style. Iv just added power washing to my many services. There was a thread on here about pikies (travellors) who pull up and charge silly money for jobs and still dispite the reputation of pykies, they somehow get these jobs.
So i also am being pro active in promotin my services, a bit of cheek and  charm followed through with professionalism and so far its paying off.
Ive just finished work and called into local for a quick swift one (before going home to change nappies all evening) and asked to speak to manager and left my card etc with them about power washing the front and beer gardens that havent been cleaned in yrs. Like the dr pepper adverts, whats the worse that could happen.
Be proactive, gain the experience and continue to strive forward....

Have you done this sort of work before ? A listed building is probably not a place to 'learn' what chemicals to use.

I'd ask them if they are interested first, save wasting your time - there are many ways to this - your best bet for unbiased, honest opinions and  methods is to google stone cleaning and restoration

Definitely Nathan I need to get my name out there, that hotel I got the builders clean inside and out and now have the regular windows outside all from sending an email to them as was getting refurbished  ;)

Hi darran

I haven't done this type of work before and  my original post was about biocide and already I've learnt that it may not be organic and might need more aggressive chemicals to get the result, I definetley wouldn't tackle a job like this using an acid without learning first as much as I can about what needs doing, I've got plenty of time as like I say I'm going to approach them about it and won't do that till I'm satisfied I've learnt enough.
