Hi all just invested in a office computer is there a software for customers details who have made bookings with us ect like some sort of software that I can put on my computer thank in advance all info welcome has I'm not that good on computers thank you

If your just starting up I wouldn't bother with any booking software...I've never used any, just stick with my diary.
At this stage I would just print out sheets with columns to write in customer details, name, address, job details etc with a view to making a customer database in perhaps Microsoft Excel in the future.
When you have a database in say 6 months or a years time you can use it to mailshot reminders to customers, either by printing them out from the database to envelopes/postcards or transfer the data to a mailshot company to send postcards for you which is less time consuming and cheaper.

Been going a few years now. Use the diary all the time was just going to use the computer to do this sort of thing ect and thought there mite be a good software for this that thank you

If you want reminders you can use google calender but a written record is so much easier,

see the other post regarding databases, but out of the box thinking you have some really nice online options now days. from auto respondors to online databases that if you can get customers emails you can set up auto emails. these are great for different streams of ideas. so one database just for xmas, then you can have others for campaigns you might want to run. think JP 3 letter sequence.
email is the one to have as its free, but its easy to break trust with those that give it to you. is about permission based marketing. and that has to be sold to people.

Mike if you ever want to sell as a business I'd say a database with sales history is essential, otherwise you're just selling equipment and a van.

I got a guys database when i bought some gear from him when was going out of business made thousands from it. sometimes you just dont know what your sitting on. something that has no value to one person is worth much to another.
