Think it was "blast a way" i saw a youtube vid and they were developing the ideal of turbo nozzles on a fsc which looked impressive

Have to say I'm with you dave! We always end up using a turbos I'm running 200@30 and still needs finishing off with the turbo

Maybe do what the yanks tend to do and that is to pretreat the surface  with a hypo softwash mix first then use a fsc afterwards.
I came accross a vid about two weeks ago with a guy cleaning a fithy block paver pool surround so the very next job I tried this method and must say it worked a treat.

Mind you it does help if you have the right type/size jets on the fsc for the type of washer you are running too.

Thanks for that smurf, I'm running a water cooled 4 cylinder 40 hp lombo 300 @30 litres
30" 3 arm mosmatic with 15 -03 jets . not sure a splash of hypo before will make that much of a difference
i always finish with the hypo..... no i think when the weeds and moss are thick a turbo is the only way to go
