Title: Help with pump not working
Post by: MisterC on June 22, 2016, 07:42:40 pm
I have a Brodex system and one of my pumps failed this morning,  I'm not sure if it is the switch or the pump itself.  The system is about 3 years old and some of the wiring does not look that clever either.
I am based in the Poole/,Bournemouth area , can anyone recommend Someone in this
Area who can help sort issues. Also if it is the pump where is the best place to buy a new one ?
Thanks for any help

One of the pumps? If that means you have two (twin operator system) then swap the none working pump with the working one. If the pump works then its the controller or wiring problem. Check the fuse.

If the face has a dual controller that looks like a Varistream, then spares are available. Probably cheaper and easier to fit a complete controller elsewhere.

Here's a picture of the Varistream controller.

If it looks similar to this then its a Spring controller.

If its the pump Daqua sell them. Apparently the pumps have female threads.

Check with Doug at Daqua is the OE pump fitted by Brodex had a pressure switch fitted and if so, was it connected up? He will help you.
