Morning gents,
Time to replace my slx poles, either looking to upgrade to either extreme3 or Phoenix neon 2
Which is better and why

How long you had the SLX? Why not get another one? Cheap enough.
I keep putting off buying another pole - had my SLX22 for over 5 years - just repaint the "markers" every so often.

Totally agree, at 22ft there's no need for an Xtreme pole, put it this way unless your using an Xtreme brush you wont
even notice the difference.

Disagree with this , although there is no need for it at 22ft .......you definately notice a difference , not just weight but stiffness .
A stiff pole is very important! ;D

Dazzler,
All the Phoenix range has been updated in the last 12 months. The Neon 2 is the latest in the range and. lightest telescopic water fed pole in the world. It also has the easiest clamps to use and is a quicker tool. If you need any more info please let me know.

But he specifically requested "none biased" information. As you are the owner of the company which produced and retails the neon 2 poles then I can only assume your info may indeed be rather biased.

I've only used clx and slx poles but I wouldn't mind trying this Neon2. If anyone wants to send me for a totally impartial review I would be happy too ;)
If I was delighted with it I would even pay for it!

my pheonix only lasted 8 months or there abouts till it was wore out i recken the neon would be the same cant c it lasting any longer to be honist its probly a luvly pole to use tho nce clamps but wont last a year

I trialled the phoenix pole and the slx when I switched from brodex (lol auto correct changes brodex to broken), out of the box there wasn't much in it. I went with the SLX because it seemed like it would last longer. Whether or not it would I can't be 100% but I suspect that I was probably right.
My slx poles are still going strong but there is a wee bit of triggers broom syndrome going on. Regardless of that, for me the slx is unrivalled as the best all round pole.
