Hi and welcome to the forum,

First thing I would advice is buy a tds metre and test your mains water ppm. Then that will tell you which way to go with di only or fully blown ro/di setup.  http://www.daqua.co.uk/testmeters.htm HM Digital TDS-3 Handheld Meter With Carrying Case seem the most popular choice and is defo not a fake you can get cheaper on the likes of fleebay.

You can also speak to the chap that owns daqua too for futher advice once you know for sure your tap water ppm then can go frrom there.

All the best in this venture.
What was you doing before and why window cleaning now? If dont mind me asking.

I was traditional w/cleaner for 14yrs and switched onto wfp last yr and did many nights of research into it and different mainstream suppliers and compared prices and equipment and reviews.
Like you said this quesgion has been asked many a times. In top right i think on here, you can do a search, which will pull all the information that has been discussed on this topic which you may find more beneficial

Gardiner pole systems is where I buy from, you've also got window cleaning warehouse, they're the only 2 I've bought from, don't be scared to go out knocking on doors for work you'll build your round quicker, I've also been using a fb page and advertising it on the local fb sites and got quite a few enquiries, I post on them everyday though as a lot of people don't look through.
