Title: K render
Post by: Rob clarke on June 04, 2016, 10:13:13 am
Anyone know how you get approved to clean their render so that it doesn't void their warranty?

Cheers

If you are referring to algoclear claim to be approved by k-rend I think it's all marketing check book baloney if you ask me.
There is no independent study published available freely on the internet I've found to suggest that one product/brand is safer to use on render than others.

Algoclear IS the only product (apart from there own) to be approved by K-rend to use on their render.
I am recommended by  K-rend to clean their render, I can use thir Logo on any marketing for my cleaning company.

I used there Logo without their permission….they threatend to sue me for portraying their product in a bad way ( dirty render pictures on my website) . I took the website down after there legal team contacted me.  I then thought they had gone quite so I put the website back up…the legal team contacted me again. Told them to get on with sueing …long story short. I ended up in Ireland at Kilwaughter now we are friends. ;D

So what scientific written proof have they actually got then Chris that their product is better than anyone else’s apart from k-rend just saying "Oh that's ok to use." ? and dare I say it probably bunged a few quid for the privilege after a few pints of the black stuff down the pub.

Alarm bells should also start to ring when they don’t want anyone else like their trade customers to use their brand logo etc for marketing a render cleaning service using their products.   Why is that I wonder as you would have thought they would encourage their trade customers and help them with their marketing. However I found out this is not the case and they basicaly don’t want to know.

Do we also just take it for face value when they say “oh our product will not affect a 10 year as gospel just because they said so? Where is the legal documentation to back this claim up?

From my dealings with them as a company selling products to the trade I must say I’m not very impressed at all.

What they do say is useing their product or Algoclear will not invalidate the warrenty. They honour the warrenty so I surpose they can stipulate the conditions of the warrenty,,ie must be cleaned like this ..must be applied by K-rend trained plasterers . Much as BMW say the car must be serviced by them(or those appointed)  for the warrenty to be valid.

Why what problems have you had with k-rend..Smurf?

Algoclear seem only focused on selling products and not really interested in helping their trade customers regards to marketing material, documentation etc.  That is what really put me off from dealing with them.

Compare the information on the likes of Benz site regards to documentation etc and you will see what I mean.

How are you a K-rend trade customer….are you a k-rend trained applicator?
Benz are in the market of selling cleaning products…thats all they do . Cleaning is not something  k-rend gets involved in to any extent.
So on the subject of cleaning I would imagine Benz would offer more support….ask Benz about supplying you with through coloured render lets see what the reply would be.

Oh that frenchman...Very nice chap and very helpful.
Pity they did not want to help out with documentation, marketing material, media etc though when I was trying to build a new render cleaning site.
