Steve K
Sorry to see you go. :(
Your photo diaries (see below) were pure inspiration.
You started posting these snapshots of your working day when I was still planning my new venture into window cleaning. Your posts gave me, and I’m sure others, the confidence to start up and give it a go.
Well it's approx 4 months since you posted these diaries and my business is growing well.
So thank you for sharing your thoughts and I hope you change your mind and come back to the forum. :-\
All the best ;)
Steve

What a shame Steve K has gone. I hope he at least reads this thread. I'm sure a lot were grateful to him for his genuine desire to help. If I saw his name on a thread I would always check it out, because he made good sense.
I also agree entirely with his reasons for signing off. I do my share of clowning on here, but if I ever cause offense I apologise.
Some just don't think they are ever wrong!
Sorry to see a useful and indeed inspirational pro go, just because of time wasting offensive idiots.
I'm sure Mike Boxall would agree.

i agree Steve K only brought informative posts to this forum
the forun scene is a funny 1, you get the guttless people who snipe behind a keyboard (on the football forums they are called Keyboard warriors), these people wouldnt even dare say 1/4 of the stuff in real life
the abuse i got last year was just imense, yet these people who dished it out are still "the professional's of the scene" ::) ::)
i can understand why people pack them in, i did a while back, took myself off and did something different with my evening time
good luck steve

If so, time to clear things up..

Guys,
I've got stuff to do, so this is an 'off the cuff' post (probably ill-thought out), before I lock the subject; but I think a large portion of the blame must lie at the 'mods' door.
It's a difficult line to tread when it comes to enforcing a strict 'window cleaning only' rule, or having a 'window cleaning forum', allowing a bit of banter too.
I've also had a couple of e-mails regarding this matter, and I personally don't think anyone was 'too close to the knuckle', and judging by the e-mails; one of them from a person from Liverpool; there was no major crime committed.
Let it lie.
This hasn't been the first time someone has taken offence and deleted their account; then re-emerged a little later! (Steve K has done this before and admitted that he may have been a little... I can't remember exactly, but if challenged, I'll dig his explanation out).
I suggest we don't make too much of a fuss, otherwise it'll be harder for someone in that position to return if they have a change of heart!
