Title: work picking up!
Post by: www.mrgutters.co.uk on May 21, 2006, 05:26:32 pm
hi all

just wondering is everyone picking up alot of work . i have been picking loads of work in the past few weeks ... i only had about 700 a month of my own work.. and i use to work for other window cleaners to make up money although this doesent include one off jobs and tenancy cleans i do sometimes..

but in the last 2 months my work has shot up to 1400 per month all well priced jobs too ... cheapest being £15.00.

i am well pleased with this.

also i have found a goldmine of an estate ..

got my first townhouse there in dec ! now i do 20 properties just people keep coming out and asking me to clean there windows .. on wed i picked up 4 thurs 3 fri 5 new customers ... and there are around 100 more townhouses all without a cleaner !

i do them wfp as they 3 storeys high ....but they are easy enuf i did 146.00 by 1.30 on friday ... yeah some company came round and offered to do them for 70.00 ...

the thing is someone used to clean about 70-80% of the houses then when the height directive came in he just packed up one day and never came back ..

yeah but i have to jump over back walls ... so thats a bit of a pain i can do 2 in an hour or so ...

but i aim for 6-7 by lunch ..

when you say 10 is that still for a townhouse like these are .. ihave been focusing on doing townhouses and i probably do half my round as townhouses ...

I do about 15 townhouses all the same, front - 2 windows (3x4) on ground and first floor, 1st floor is bay 6 windows (2x4) plus door (raised from street level) - rear - same as front but 1st floor just 2 windows (3x4) plus patio doors on ground floor.  The other wc charges £8 and he uses ladders!! Takes me about 20 mins to do one.
