Title: best option for booster pump for 4040
Post by: matty72 on May 30, 2016, 04:09:32 pm
Just set up a 4040 system, I get up to 60 psi from tap but tds only gets down to 25 (way to high) after 260 at the tap and water production really slow, have looked back at lots of posts on here about booster pump, alot of people seem to say machine mart pumps, there about £300, anyone know of cheaper options doing as good of a job, cheers

Have always used a dab pump  can run 24 hrs a day if needed

Get the 102 version with that 280/300 tds comes down to 3 with new membraine and still running at 5 six months later and I get around 180 litres per hour pure

There is an eBay supplier with polish copies of these pumps for around £70 but no idea on how good the quality is

Whats your pure to waste ratio after r/o?

How old is the membrane?

My water pressure is less than yours and I don't have a booster pump. 98.5% rejection rate. 2 lpm pure and 2 lpm waste.

I know spruce, I have tried all ratios 50/50, 70/30, 80/20, tried the lot, system is all new, should be alot less shouldn't it, have redone all the hoses, pump is the only thing left i can do, can't understand why i dont get less tds, the production is really slow so do need a pump.

I don't think a booster pump will solve his problem Franky. He needs to get to the bottom of why his r/o is producing so slowly as his water pressure isn't that low tbh.
