Hi all!
Battery on it's last legs. I've heard loads of problems on here over the years with Leisure Batteries.
Anyone tried a Stop / Start to power the pump instead of a normal or Leisure battery?
Thanks
"The Halfords 096AGM battery is required for vehicles with start/stop technology and/or regenerative braking. The AGM (absorbed glass mat) technology allows up to 360,000 engine starts for use with start/stop functions."

I think it will depend on how it's supposed to deliver its power, car batteries give short but high output but leisure batteries are for longer but lower release.
My advise is but a quality leisure battery and use s split charge relay, 3 of mine are well over 2 years old and don't miss a beat, when I used to buy bargain leisure batteries at £50 they tended to die after 10 months to a year

Yes. Car batteries a more for power, leisure batteries are for long drain.
Get a Good leisure battery.
I got a 110 amp Halfords battery. Its good. Buy online or get shop to match online price. Yuasa make them

Do you need a special charger for a Leisure battery?

Yes.
A car battery charger will work occassionally but I charger especially for leisure batteries is a must. You can use that leisure battery charger to charge the car battery.

No you don't. Most are identical other than higher amp. Most arnt that, just re badged . A good leisure battery has thicker plates. Same internals and design
