Hi Joe

Window cleaning is here forever, how many of you guy,s who use wfp, would go back doing traditional if the worst came to worst, and it was a case of giving up and getting another job, or going back to traditional?

at the momment I am looking to change from Trad to wfp, but if a drought order ever affected me, I would go straight back to Trad.

If any of you guy's get stuck, for water, I am sure we could all join together to help you out.  I for one would be more than happy to let any WC come to my house and fill as many containers/drums or what ever, as many time's as he likes

Anyone thought of diluting it, to make it go further?

The makers of Sunny Delight have already tried diluting it with orange.  It didn't work very well as it killed the fish.

If they ban window cleaning we will all have a perfect excuse to go on the dole and have an extended summer holiday.

The truth is even if they ban it there is nobody to enforce the ban. WFPs are not connected to the mains but your RO is and that could lead to awkward questions.

They've got to find it first.

I think Glyn from Omnipole has made a valid point on the other forum. It’s all about scaring people so they will go onto water meters.

Anglian water has the highest percentages of customers on water meters then any other water company and no hose pipe ban.

The real culprits which force an hose pipe ban are gardeners.

Nope - its the water companies - not repairing pipes and wasting huge amounts of water, a friend who's father worked in the water service over here informed me that about 65% is lost to broken pipes, leaking valves etc.

THAMES loses 500 litres per person per day and still makes record profits,so how much would they make if they didnt lose so much? A letter to the price  comission is due if they ever stop the leaks.

how can they jusify putting 500litres into the ground, then have the cheek to tell us we carnt use 250/350 litres to make a living.

this may sound silly but its true, toilet paper is the culprit, and no one has ever questioned it before, WAIT FOR IT? QUILTED TOILET PAPER, it takes at least 4 flushes to get rid of the stuff, where as before with the standard paper one flush was enough, so if a water ban comes in to efect, so they should make it law that only standard toilet paper be sold when the ban is in force, O sh###t did i say all that lol ;D

With all the rain we have had down south I would be surprised if we had any drought order. More like government issued wellies!!

Another week of rain ahead too.
Worst wet spell for years in the South West.
We've had rain every day for a fortnight.

Couldn't help chuckling at the quote in that article...."The future of window cleaners is up in the air"

Is that a subliminal message to ditch wfp.....? ;D ;)

Due to poor water management, here in the southeast we could end up in the absurd situation of being in drought and in flood at the same time.
