anyone going to the ncca course next week?

 i'll be there, not sure what i'll learn as i've been carpet cleaning for 10 years  ::)

but i'm sure it will be interesting :)

I'm confident you'll gain a lot from the course Steve.

But watch your P's and Q's as I know there will be a Minister present :-X

I went on my first carpet cleaning course after 10 years of cleaning, saying 'there is nothing I don't already know', I was so embrassed how little I knew, that I went on every course going. Now I claim I am Norfolk No.1 carpet/upholstery cleaner.

I'm really hoping I do learn something, otherwise it will have been a waste of money ::)

I initially wondered if i should do the iicrc course, but ncca seemed more relevant to me and more customers seemed to have heard of it! :)

I wasn't meaning i think i know it all, far from it, i just meant i hope i've chosen the best course to go on seeing that i'm not new to the game ::)

Obviously it must be directed slighty towards the noobs but hopefully there's some in depth stuff aswell ;)

I went on the IICRC course,

I thought it was a bit of a Crammer.

If i was running that organization I would send out Course content and homework in advance.

Esp all that stuff about different generations of Nylon.


This would then leave more time for practical demos etc so it was more interactive.

yeah the food is great there, watch out for the exam though it is really hard!!! :)

i agree with you on that one,
there is so much information to take in overnight with the exam the next day,
it would be alot better if the folders were sent out a few weeks before hand,

i passed my IICRC carpet, fire & smoke, & flood restoration on the IICRC courses and it is a fair volume to work to get through on such a short space of time

think it would be easier doing a degree, LOL

I got back from the NCCA course at Leicester last night, I found it to be very well run and very informative, and the exams were quite hard, all in all well worth going on and Ive learnt some new things which will certainly help me, the venue is also very good (and the food is well above the standard I've found on other courses I've attended), Andy

Good course and well put together, a little more hands on instruction would be good and i agree that the folders could be sent out earlier so the info could be digested, and the exam was harder than i thought it would be :o

All in all worth going if you are new to the game and maybe been going a while :)
