Title: Formula 90 dilution rates for T/M Chem meter?
Post by: Chris R on May 20, 2006, 08:58:00 am
Hi
can anyone tell me the correct dilution rates for Chempspec liquid formula 90, when using with a truckmount chemical feed system.
On the chemspec web site it says 1 litre solution to 12 litre water? But that seems very strong. When I tried it at this dilution the water came out thick in soap, I was getting bubbles !The flow meter was set at 2 gph.
If you use this product how much do you put into a 20 L stock  container?
thanks
Chris

ps I copied this off the chemspec website
Truck Mounts: Add 1L to 12L of water and set gph(flow meter) at 2 (light soil), 4 (medium soil), 6 (heavy soil).

5ml per 5ltr for woolsafe.  seem to remember it is 15ml per 5 ltr for heavy soiling.

Thanks Matt,  :D

but is that the mix to be used with a truckmount chemical metering system?

I thought it was 5ml per 5 litres into the rinse tank of a portable?

With my T/M I have to mix up the chemical into a 20 litre container, this is then "injected" into the water just before it enters the solution pipe. The chemical never goes into the fresh water tank.

The strength of the chemical thats injected into the water can be adjusted by a GPH meter ( gallons per hour).

I have only just had the T/M, and so this is all a bit new to me  ???

Thanks

Chris

Thanks Gordon,

sorted.

The Chem specs figures are wrong  >:(

At a dilution of 12/1,( see chem spec web site) stock mix, put through a GPH meter at number 2 (diluted 39 times), works out at a ready to use dilution rate of 468 / 1 .

It should be at nearly 1000/ 1 ( wool safe  ???)

25/1 is the correct mix.
