Title: How much would you?!
Post by: Harry Roberts on April 20, 2016, 09:08:39 pm
Hi guys
I've been asked to clean 4 of these.
I can use hotels genie to access.
What would be asking for. Twice per year internal.

It's hard to say without seeing it , which hotel is it?

You need to offer more details. Are the four sets of glass in the same hotel, if not where are they and how far apart are each location (5 miles or 200 miles apart), what time of day are they stipulating it must be done (any time or 03:00 in the morning).

If they're all in the same hotel, I'd be looking at somewhere around £200 - £250 for what you can see in the pic.

As much as you can get away with and still make a decent net profit  for the time & hassle would be the correct answer I suppose.

If it's just internal , how fast are you with trad ? are you using extendable poles or platforms?  which methods are you using

I was assuming it was insides only. I don't know why, but I hadn't considered the outsides.

Hi all.
It's a hotel at Heathrow airport. All glass is in same hotel. I can use the hotels genie the nice I've the correct certification. To be honest wasn't going to trad it. Using Evans clear and microfibre clothes.
Probably cleaned evening /night. Internals only.

Or I could use streamline internal kit. ???

Thanks

If your using an access platform anyway for the higher internal glass then maybe that new unger thing (stingray or whatever it's called) might be worth a go as some on here think it's very good with the 3m liquid.

I would charge £250 plus vat per visit per section.. So £1k for the 4 sections per visit..

Well at least you've put up a price, but I doubt a hotel (even Heathrow) will fork out that much

I'd be around the £150 + vat mark and I wouldn't expect a call back.  ;D (so £600 + vat total )

A half decent day should knock two sections out. I would plan on doing it trad off the scissor lift.

No, the Nationals would have it as part of a bigger contact, they would then sub it out to you for a fiver  ;)

Trouble is with doing this trad, when blading it off your creating more mess with the excess water dropping down onto lower frames and floor. Would the streamline internal kit good nth us high. Anyone used at this height?
