Title: tds formula
Post by: JM123 on May 19, 2006, 06:55:00 pm
Hi all, when using the formula 500,000/tds this gives the total number of litres of pure water from one 25ltr bag of resin, correct??  However, is this all with a tds of 0 or is it up to 5 or 10 or something??  Just wondering.

Just divide the 500.000 by your TDS.

EG: My TDS from tap is 420 so I would get 1190 litres of pure from a 25ltr bag

SO I have an RO which brings my Tap TDS down to 5..  I now get 100.000 ltrs of pure :)

Cheers

No what I mean is this, your tap water is 420, after passing 1190 ltrs of tap water through 1 bag of resin what will the water be coming out at then??

All that will happen is the TDS out will go up quickly. It will start at 001 and rise to the TDS in.
