my mum has these in her kitchen & they're getting scratched , does any one know what's the best way to polish & protect them please
i've tried hard floor section but it must be beneath them ha ha

Firstly we need to know if they are solid wood (how thick they are) or laminated . Their approximate age, the amount of traffic they are subjected to and the maintenance schedule you can put in place. What is the depth of 'scratching' and over what area. Are they already sealed, what is the sq footage (metre-age). Just basic info which will help people on here determine the correct course of action.

The main thing is to know what they have on them. Mine have never been oiled and I have this on them

Its hard as rock, really hard wearing and makes the floor look brilliant, the dogs wheelspin right across the room and its never come off.

well they were in the house when my mum got it 22 yrs ago now, its really cos me & my son go for a brew every day & she says we scrape our chairs on the floor. i've glued pads to the chair feet but they don't make much difference , that stuff looks great but its a touch expensive, but i've got an idea what to look for now
thanks a lot
