Title: Emergency call out?
Post by: Tom.m on April 16, 2016, 03:17:19 pm
Thinking of adding this to my website.

Anyone do it and what's a fair call out charge?

Cheers
Tom.

So What are you going to do when somebody calls you as an emergency?

Drop all of your work booked in?  or tell them you will fit them in when you can ?

I would suggest emergency requires you immediately,  I do get calls where they want you there as soon as possible and I tell them I will get there as soon as I can, my charge would be no different to my normal charge as it can lead to more work, unless of course its a call in the middle of the night.

Just thinking weekends and evenings, most of my work is window cleaning anyway and I'm soon to have 2 vans on the road.

Would have thought emergency call out was more of a 24/7 thing

Yeah screw that idea dude. You'll get mongs expecting you to come out at night to remove a stain. Unless your happy to do the small crap jobs?

Where as full houses and luxury suites are never emergency work ;)

I do fire flood and stain removal as emergency work, I only normally book normal work until 2pm and 2-3 days a week I get a call out , these are VERY lucrative.
