Title: SEO Package.
Post by: Klean07 on April 05, 2016, 11:17:36 pm
How  much should I normally have to pay for an SEO package? I know its not cheap but there are a few sharks out there so I don't want to get bitten!

Most SEO companies I've come across charge £200 a month minimum - and if I'm honest even the "reputable" ones have plenty of bad reviews too - - kinda like most canvassers I guess!

I'd be very careful though. A lot of SEO companies use link-building techniques and backlink spamming to give your site a boost - a technique that gives great results short term (usually long enough for them to tie you into a 12 month contract) but means bad things long term,... in extreme cases it can even get your domain blacklisted from some search engines.

My advise would be to concentrate on content creation instead. Upload weekly blogs to your website, add pages, photos, even make a few videos,... fill your domain with high quality, unique, relevant & interesting content. Content is king, its risk frees (So long as you don't copy from other people!) and it will always help you climb Google rankings - although it is a bit slower to get going that traditional SEO.

I have registered with Google My Business and this got me higher up the search rankings for nothing. I'm also highlighted on Google maps.

Anyone know how to get a google business listing higher, my web site is 1 or 2 on page one for the areas I cover, but my google business listing is 4/5 even in the town I live in.

How about trying Google Adwords? It is both good and bad at the same time!
The good bit is, at the moment, I am top of the list for my area and chosen keywords.
The bad bit is, it's the silly season, and i'm getting loads of calls of which 80% are rubbish (but then I am a bit picky).
