Title: Advice on pole choice
Post by: Strata Cleaning on April 02, 2016, 11:21:46 am
Hi

We don't clean windows as such unless its a part of a bigger one off project hence we don't have massive experience in window cleaning kit use.
The teams do use rw poles for some  cleans incl render, claddings etc but in most cases if we use them its still not higher than 40ft.
Sometimes it happens we need to get higher and access equipment is not feasible due to cost.  Especially when the job could take little time with a pole if the area can only be reached.
Its not frequent though.
I am looking to supply teams with 60 ft plus poles. I am not planning to invest in top range quality as having above in mind we simply  wouldn't use them enough to justify lets say 10k spent.

I have checked directly with some manufacturers in China. After some short negotiations potential saving with the price set is substantial as I could get 100% carbon (at least that's what they say)  64ft poles for £410.00 per unit. There is of course a min order - in this occasion of at least 10 of the ones I got interest in as test products.

Has anyone tried poles directly from China?
Alternatively  is there any particular product from our market you can recommend to fit in our circumstances?

Your help really appreciated.

Check the weight of the Chinese poles. Last time I looked they had very thick walls, which reflected in the weight.
