whats everyone using to measure commercial flooring when quoting, any links would be great as i need to buy one asap

The fastest and most accurate way if the floor is tiled is to just count the tiles!  But if its not or the areas are weird shapes

tape measure for me. takes longer but i prefer, cheap and accurate

Thats the D2, i went for the D210 , no idea why apart from it was the newer model so must be better  ;D
