Saw this on ebay,
upholstery tool
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Upholstery-Carpet-Cleaning-Detail-Wand-Auto-Detailing-Hand-Tool-Detailer-EDIC-/321704702154?hash=item4ae71830ca:g:efkAAOSw9r1WDZ8t
really cheap at £35, and was thinking of getting a couple of others as well to make shipping worthwhile.
anyone any experience of them?

You will also have vat and import duty to pay, on top of shipping costs.
Dave.

Postage @ $30.

found another couple who have much cheaper postage, about £30 for 3 wands + I calculated it at around £25 duty & vat on an online calculator.
It was more of a question of quality, any good you reckon?

The only moving part that might have reliability issues is the trigger assembly , so worse case scenario is that will need changing pretty quickly, but overall it looks good buy.
I'm surprised it says Made in the USA usually they are Chinese imports.
I would'nt hesitate buying one

dont think youl save anything buying one tool from america , guy like the carpetcleaning store should have a ship in soon and prices will work out the the same or less .
You can save if u buy a few items together and combined shipping . I probably mentioned this guy before but this is one of the sources of these ebay tools , hes Vietnamese/American . He has the metal made in Vietnam and he puts the usual brass fitting and hoses on them in american ...hence 'made ' in America

You can email him direct and hel send an order , i got two wands , the CFR clone handtool , three regular handtools and a bunch of spare brassware and jets from his couple of years ago ... i think shipping was about 100usd ,( asked for normal usps) then u pay tax etc on the cost of the items +the shipping costs. ( but then he did devalue the invoice to save me some tax :D)
Then u save money .
Think he a swivel wand now also , not on the site , and i believe he was doing a zipper clone

John - how do you get on with the CFR clone? Looks like the trigger is cable tied on

Ha , id say that was just put together quickly for the website picture . The brass is standard hanger valve , its all the usual brands like D.A.M .
This is the same tool as resold by cobbs site
