I work for a cleaning company have recently been asked by one of my contracts to restore the front steps of their office block, they are marble and due to the amount of traffic they get they are heavily pitted, marked and rather dull.
I was wondering if there was anyone out there that could give me advice on how to go about this.
I would like to give it a go myself as i am keen to learn and want to add another string to my bow.
Thanking you in advance.

I doubt anyone can respond to your question with enough advice for you to take on a marble restoration job - I know I can't and I do it for a living. The problem is that you are into grinding stone so you need the correct abrasives, machine and most importantly the knowledge of how to give the stone its required finish.
With respect, I suggest you find a local company who can take on this job for you.
