how do you transport your gear when your van is off the road?

My van was off road yesterday morning whilst the garage were fixing a problem with the side door. I went canvassing for a couple of hours & picked up four new customers.
If I needed to clean I would use the wife's car with backpack & 25L barrels.

Have you got 4 weeks solid work including Saturday's? if so then take your van in to the garage on a 5 week month , if not then a Saturday or on your 4th week of the month

As above, book it in when it suits your schedule. If van dies unexpectedly, then a day off but I would do admin work or work related activity. The same as you would if its raining really heavy etc

yeah I've got a bike ;D
seriously !
last year I had to use it with a pump up sprayer, trad gear and extension pole for about 3 days when my van packed up to complete a list of eot's, carried it in a ruck sack, until the weekend when I went and bought a newer vehicle.
With my town being so grid locked with traffic , I'm now even considering doing the same for my trad shop rounds now the weather is getting better . ;)

Capri 2.8 injection & Peugeot 406 estate - both of which currently not running !

Nope as if the van was off the road I would never be able to carry all the kit I need to fit in a car so would have to have more time off than I do already. Mind that would suite me just fine ;D
If push come to shove I would hire another van short term and/or replace if it was uneconomical to repair.

In my 8 years of WFP I've only done it once. Used my wife's mk2 micra. Fortunately it was a five door jobbie. Tarp on back seat freedom trolley on that, 4 barrels of pure in the boot and 18ft pole front to back across seat on passenger side. Just squeezed in. You have to watch your insurance though because if you get pulled over with no business cover.......

I use my camper van
