After helping a friend for a couple of months on wfp, it changed my mind about it. (Trad for 14yrs) but he went cheap and used basic fibre glass poles. So when I switched, I learnt (so I thought) from his mistakes and wanted better poles. I got all my kit from pure freedom and got a phoenix hybrid pole. Liked the idea of the clamping system and the shortness of colapsed pole length. Also opted for the carbon v2 pole. (Initial idea was poles from gardiner, but I kept it simple and went all with one supplier. Tho wish I went with gardiner for poles now) the hybrid is good and light,  rigid if dont fully extend each pole. But thats alot of faff every time. The clamps are great however. So I rarely use the hybrid apart from cramp spaces where shortness in pole is needed. Mostly use the carbon which is good. But after 8mnths, of regular use, ive had to fix clamps quite a bit even tho I regularly clean inside pole.
So yes theg are ok, tho I wish I went with gardiner and spent a fraction more on their poles. (As I will when I need to replace)
