Title: Imersion heaters

For those that have them and use them

What size tanks do you heat
 what size element do you use and what temperature do you aim for
And how long does it take

600 and 1000 lts.

3 kW elements - 11 inch long

Min temp is 30 degrees but do go to 60

How long, depends on how hot I want the water, normally I get 35 to 40 degrees in 7 hours

Im toying with idea of using element heaters as well. Not necessarily for stuborn cleans as 99.9% of my work is regular maintenance. So its just for making hose supple n little warmth for those cold starts.
As theh are used overnight, and appreciate heat cycles upwards etc, how high up from base of tank is best place to install? My tank is 500ltr upright. Thinking need a really long arm to secure on the inside tank

Just calculating cost in changing from a Wabasto heater, a getting an insulated tank with Imersion element

I place mine as low as I can reach (just ove 3/4's down) you need a little space under neath
