Title: Mould on brand new carpets
Post by: heritagecleaning on March 03, 2016, 04:35:10 pm
Just had a call from a lady who has this problem They had put plastic sheet protectors down for plastering etc. to be done. When the sheets were removed the new carpets were damp and had mould on them.

I have never come acreoss this before.  Is it likely to be salvageable or a write off? I'm thinking Enzall possibly?

Cheers

Are you sure it's mold and not sticky residue that has attracted dirt.
For mold to grow it needs a fair bit of time and if the plastic was just down for painting I would guess it was just a few days.
If it is mold coming through after such a short period of time then there are some serious damp problems coming from somewhere that require more than just carpet cleaning.
