G101 - autosmart - good stuff

A8 TFR - I get mine from Hugh crane it's a TFR with a bit of extra bite and wax to leave a shine I don't know if this is exclusive to them or a general designation of the product.

They also do SHIFT and that really strips off the cr@p but too aggressive for upvc cleaning

Can't really clean a whole conservatory roof with a magic sponge

Best if your going to use tfr is to use none-caustic type on plastics.

Spot on Smurf, as many TFR's and high alkaline based cleaning chemicals contain sodium hydroxide which is highly corrosive and can cause all sorts of problems on glass, seals, plastics, etc.

Hi Chris, just to share its probably safer not to use TFR's on conny roofs as many of them are harsh and aggressive and will cause detrimental damage to sensitive surfaces, you also need to keep in mind if you are spraying TFR's many other surrounding surfaces can also be affected, there are many janitorial suppliers who will be able to offer you safer alternatives when it comes to cleaning these type surfaces. I wonder if we should in fact be using an algae removing chemical? After all, that's what we are cleaning off. I notice that when roofs  go green again, you can often pick out the brush marks in the algae from the previous clean up to a year before.

Conservatory manufactures advise just to use soapy water and don't use any harsh chemicals on them.

It's up to the individual what they decide to use but needless to say ones fitted with self cleaning glass its best practice not to use harsh chems at all.

I tend now to use just hot soapy water, give them a scrub and rinse down. Then if required detail the gutter line plastics afterwards.

Tadgh.

What is the name of your company?

I'm in Essex uk is it possible to order from you?

Did you say your getting a website done and it will be finished in April?

Nat jones on here Avondhu, lives in Ireland and is a website designer.

Sort it out ;D

I'm interested in some of the products you mention little waffle clothes.

Also do you have something for Connie roofs.
Basically I dilute virosol in a back pack and spray onto roofs or fascia soffit gutters and clean with my water fed pole equipment.

Thanks Ler

Hi Lee, cheers yes i know about the great work Nat does on building sites, its not that we don't have someone to build our site, but an internal issue within our company which is taking far longer than expected to sort out, thinking the best and should have it up before end of April.  Tadgh

Going back to the subject of tfr I thought I would try something different localy from screwfix.
http://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-heavy-duty-degreaser-5ltr/88668?cm_sp=Search-_-SearchRec-_-Area2&_requestid=349800

Seems to work ok for me for what I wanted it for.
