Post by: robert mitchell on February 19, 2016, 11:36:12 am
Just fitted my two uni valves this morning and been playing around on my own house .

massive thumbs up so far , if they turn out to be durable i think they are awesome !

If steve had teamed up with Alex gardiner for his customer service from the start i think he would be a millionaire now  ;D

Got 2 poles with A/D's working everyday. I haven't had a spring go in over a year. Definitely better than the originals.

Got mine today, fitted to my Xtreme. Played about on the house.
Doesn't need much of a tug to turn on /off. Almost, if not imperceptible on the pole. I think it's been really well designed and engineered. Lightweight plastic.
Give it a hammering on Monday. If it has good endurance, he's on to a winner.

Good quality hose required and for the 3rd clip out of the gooseneck to promote stability .

well just got mine ive made a adjustment already .according to the instructions if ive read it corectlly  you crimp a o clip on hose to stop it moving at the at the top .how ever this crushes the hose  so what ive done is fit a john guest fitting to the t piece fitting on brush then hose to barbed end of john guest fitting thus not crushing hose. if that makes sence

also to avoid crushing hose using o clip and john guest fitting I found the sort of resineck used you have to extend the 2 clear feed pipes cause there to short as ive found out also the fittings on connector 2 sizes so ive got to go and get the smaller size  >:( >:(

Where as the hose split?  Where it comes out the brush?

I am very sure this can be simply addressed.

i have the blue hose that came with the conversion kit, i find it difficult to imagine the hose stretching while using the univalve, unless he`s split the hose putting the O clip on. i imagine there could be some stretch in the normal yellow pole hose as its more pliable

I think it just sits in the pole and a hose clip at the top to stop it moving, when tugged

Post by: DeLuce on February 20, 2016, 05:51:03 pm
Yeah, fits in the top section area of your pole, although, I suppose you could put it anywhere in the section of your pole.
When ordering, you  choose what size o clips you require and they come in the packet with univalve.
Regarding the 3rd o clip you fasten on just out of the goosenecks. You crimp it just tight enough to grip and not crush the hose. Didn't need to use any extra things, just don't over do it  ;D

It looks like there's a blockage as there's barely a trickle coming out.

That's because I use much wider pencil jets.  I don't like the standard 2 mill pencil jets.

More flow, less pressure. Believe it or not I get about 2.5 to 3 litres per minute at the brush head. Great for rinsing and reducing splash back which can cause spotting.

sorted ive got the john guest barbed top hat fitting in to the push fit on the feed  then pole hose  o clipped to that works a treat I did not like the idea of the o clip on to hose. when I had a go before the 2 clear pipes wear cut down as I remember so swaped with another brush  bingo .se how the tap works tomorrow

Yes its a continuation of the aqua-dapter patent "Pulling the hose to operate" i covered.

The mechanism to operate it is also a unique design by Ex-ceed.

Cant stop anyone twisting a pole to operate mind.

Can't beat a good TUG .

The twist of the pole with the brush on the glass or window Frane I think is poor . Well it's simply second best

The Aqua-Adaptor was the best device I. Wfp industry and now the univalve in my opinion is the best product in Wfp

Just fitted mine and its quite hard to tug. Aquadapter needs much less force. I hope it freeze up. When I opened it, I couldn't even move it. Think it was stuck, then it was ok. Cant tell weight difference but there must be some. Its shorter for sure. I miss the "click sound" always looking to see if water is running. Hope I get used to it. Should be a few used Aquadapters on flea

Mine works with a gentle pull. It doesn't feel anywhere near what the A/D felt when operating it. This Uni-valve has very little movement to operate it.

Does the uni-valve come with some sort of guarantee Steve?
In principle it looks a great innovated product. However the big questions is the longevity still being moving parts inside it and all how long will it last without getting worn-out, start leaking and/or break?

Steve, I've also noticed any description I have read on your site or other supplies there is no mentions if a uni-valve is suitable to be used with hot/warm water and/or additives.  Also if the uni-valve is suitable (chem resistant) for applying stronger chems/biocides via a wfp?

Sorry I'm not trying to have a pop Steve but these should be basic questions answered in FAQ's about the product surely?

Im sure i will have a few issues, always do, but rest assured, if it goes wrong i will replace on next day delivery.
So if you want to try one go ahead, if it breaks 10 times in a year , i will replace it, at the end of the day any weaknesses are shown up in the real world, but if it does i will address this and modify if it needs to be, but time does tell, please feel confident to try the product.

Full day with uni valve using hot water too. Worked great.

I think only 2 or three times did I have to do a double tug, (operator error really).

It takes a while to get used to only pulling the hose an inch, but what a difference.

Way better than the original Aquadapter I feel.

Yes iv'e had two reports, and both my fault, one i forgot to fit a spring to it during assembly, the other forgot the rubber seal.

Rushing during assembly >:(

Both Replaced :)

Please trust you will get a replacement if you have any issues.

If i have 2 or 3 reports of a certain problem then i will strengthen that component, but time will see.

In the mean time enjoy the product, and don't worry.

Steven.

Fitted mine last night so we will see how it works in the 'field'.

It has a totally different feel to my beloved Aquadapters which will take some getting used to. The pull to switch the Aquadapter on and off required a positive action of 40mm, but this pull is minimal.

Somewhere you posted that they didn't have a spring Steven.

Got mine last night so we see how we go today.  :)

First impressions - looks good.

Hi Spruce,

They have a stainless steel spring, but due to being a compression spring there much less stressed that the old aqua-dapter extension spring,  hence longevity.

Hats off to Steve at Exceed. I fitted mine at weekend and can honestly say it is mega.

Used the Aquadapter since day one, apart from the odd broken spring we never had a problem. The first ones were a bit heavy but as changes were made and weight came down none of my lads complained. It was only after using the Univalve all day yesterday that i realised how much the dapter did weigh. Will deffo be ordering more for rest of our poles.

Many thanks, and keep inventing.

Fitted mine today can't understand why people where asking about how to fit ,it took a couple of mins to fit. Cant believe how responsive they are you don't even have to pull that hard brilliant piece off kit let's hope they last lol
Should be a few used Aquadapters on flea
 bay soon :)

Try putting it  in the right way round  ;)

Fitted my uni valve today and really pleased with it, but has anyone git a better way of stopping the hose from pulling down through the resi neck rather than with the o clip at the top of the angle adapter? It's a pain when I want to change from fixed head to swivel head.

perhaps Steve should include the plastic hose retainer he sells with his tubeless kits, it made fitting mine easy.

Why don't you just tighten the screw on the swivel to get a fixed brush head?

Hey that's my image from my video 😉👍

I fitted it a more secure way now , but also for easy removal from the hose if needed,

Rock solid and quick and easy to change brushes.

I think Steve has probably been under a lot of pressure all things considered to get this to market , but the hose retainer in his kits works so well I'm really suprised he is not including these rather than an extra o clip bearing in mind they are easily removable and re usable.
Steve, if you are reading. Thanks for the quick delivery of an additional protective ejector sleeve ( needed for my back pack to connect it to hoseless pole ) but given its weight and value, was £4.95 recorded delivery really needed for something that small that could be posted through a letterbox ? I hope you may address this in the future  ;)

The postage option, on my website, calculates by value, not weight, will see if i can get my web guy to give a cheaper option, maybe 2nd class signed for.
Sorry its got to be signed for as to many parcels go missing.

as all others have said Steve, these univalve`s are an excellent addition to WFP.  but the postage is way to high i payed £8.95 p&p for 2 univalves. i could have sent the same (weight, dimensions, 1st class recorded, signed for & tracking) ........For £2.05 royal mail .....even Special Delivery Guaranteed next day by 1pm is only  £6.45. thats quite a big difference ,  :o

yes would be a good idea to talk with your web guy

thanks

From what Steve has said on another forum due to a few complants that the uni-valve has stopped working he metions something about the first batch  being not quite right. The next manufacturing run should be better and all that have bought one that has stopped working will be replaced.

Sounds like a blooming nightmare for Steve but I'm sure he will crack it.

Had mine a couple of days, very happy. I didn't bother at all with the retainer at the top of the pole and it still works fine. But i've only got the short resi neck with hardly any travel in the pole hose.

yes i agree with many, been using for over a week now and am really impressed, had to make the hole bigger in the but cap, (minor issue)  and i dont bother with the spacer, i just compensate by leaving the top section extended 4" or 5"

really excellent product, well done steve
