Can anybody explain to me the correct way to apply microsplitters, I just presumed you put it in your tank like detergents however the more I read about it I get the impression you spray it on the carpet first then aggitate, then use machine with fresh water. Or is this just if you use it as a prespray.
Also, would you use other products along side m/s such as fragrances to give it that fresh smell or optical enhancers??
Thanks Everyone

The whole concept of using microsplitters is to leave less residue in the carpet. They work by "splitting" the dirt away from the fibres. In order to do this you need to pre-spray the carpet and then agitate using either a carpet brush or better some kind of mechanical implement such as a Sebo Duo. Without this agitation they are more than useless as the product doesn't make contact with enough of the dirt to be effective.
As you are using them to leave less residue, using a deodourising rinse or detergent rinse kind of defeats the object. An aerosol spray is often adequate to leave a nice fragrance.
Hope that helps.

John, Hi
After agitation would you then just clean as normal only no detergents?

Yes you just rinse using plain water.
