Do you need to buy anything other than the uni valve itself? I mean will it attach directly to gardiner pole hose? Can't wait to change the annoying pole hose tap gardiners sell.
Title: Re: Univalve
Post by: kempy on February 14, 2016, 10:00:24 am
You will need to just cut your pole hose and then crimp 2x O-clips or Ear clips 7mm to 9mm and the univalve fits inline .

Hi JSMC,

The uni-valve works with any pole or fittings, this is why we discontinued the aqua-dapter which had limitations.
we needed a valve totally suited to poles such as gardiner, with multiple fittings, goosenecks etc,
Also with weight as an issue, especially on the xtreme range. (Uni-valve 18Grm actually 14grm when the piece of hose is chopped out to fit the valve, to be precise.)
I realised that when you purchase a lightweight pole, you want to keep it that way, so the uni-valve is the most versatile, lightest valve of its kind in the world.

Steven.

cheers steve, I  thought i had read it would not work with goosenecks. may give it a go now.

So, waited months for this, having already invested in the tubeless kit ( which I really like ) and have cursed for ages at the "loop" as I use a tap on end of hose reel. Been on holiday a week. Look on here and see people have pre ordered. Exceeds website now says OUT OF STOCK bloody typical  >:( >:( >:(

Hype is a well trodden and tested method of selling stuff. Create a buzz, be out of stock and create a bigger buzz for the product.

I'd wait untill there are postings on here about how well it does, or does not work, and how reliable it is.

Im doing introductory offer for 1 week, starting now.

        Steven,

    yeah but,
whens ya uni valve ready ? I want both  ;D

Hi barry,
3 weeks but postage on uni-valve £1.99

Well since reading number 23's post earlier this afternoon I ordered the combi pack of vision ( buying in to the hype just to see for myself :-[ ) and univalve from jigsaw innovation, delivery charge for both £3.99.
Low and behold now checking exceeds site I could have ordered, now showing in stock but postage would have been £6.95 , £4.96 more than stated 3 months ago  :o :(
Make of this what you will.

He said there would be plenty of stock. Didn't even reach sale day. Could be due to using suppliers, which we all said he should do. Peed  off Vision did a better deal though. If its naff, he will be getting a lot back. If its better than Aquadapter, hes £'s in.

Well, when I ordered from vision ( jigsaw innovation ) it showed 4 being in stock  ::)roll :)
Sounds like I'm being a bit harsh and grumpy, I'm sure the product will be great, like I said before very happy with the tubeless set up, just a bit ped off at the very vague business side of the whole operation but sure it will come good in the end  ;)

Fair enough, if you are happy to spend £60 and then have to pay near £9 for a couple of bits of plastic in a jiffy bag to posted out to you.
I looked on exceeds website to order a second ejector sleeve to fit to some hose on my backpack, its £10 , but the postage is half that again for something that weighs next to nothing. Just niggles me , that's all.

It's apparently very good , very responsive and time will tell if it's robust enough . With fewer working parts and attachments I think it will be GREAT SUCCESS .

Quite agree,
But given the fact I have to make a 10 mile round trip to buy water and fill my tank every couple of days and really fed up of tangled loop of hose and fumbling about for the inline tap Im buying into the hype and taking a punt. Hope not to be disappointed.

anytime i sell something on ebay etc i always send by recorded delivery to be signed for,  mainly for my own benefit of knowing its been delivered, more and more people these days try and scam ya insisting they`ve not received goods and want there money back so for me its peace of mind really
