when cleaning carpets in a team of 2, there comes a point towards the end when they aren't really needed. i might get them to leaflet, or just wait until finished to help pack the last bits away, however i thought this is also a good point (as well as other gaps when cleaning) to help dry the carpets if possible. I wondered if perhaps there's any machines that are fairly small that a person could use?
we've got a rotarty but it's fairly large so not ideal as a tool someone could grab quickly and run over the lounge and entrance hall way for instance while i'm packing the machine and dealing with the customer invoice. we also have turbo dryers but obviously these are just place and leave and can't always be used

You could use a bonnet on the rotary to absorb some moisture and reduce wicking.

would you be able to recommend a small rotary that would work well for this?

Oreck xl or victor Sprite 300

Would a 13inch truvox compact rotary be any good for this or would the rpm be too much at 220rpm? Looking to purchase a second hand one today so appreciate quick replies. I fear the higher rpm wouldn't be ideal when using it with a cotton pad to dry the carpet

That will be fine Adam... the RPM is not too much at all, just don't keep the pad in 1 place too long, and if it feels like it is sticking then stop using it..
I only LM cleaned for the last 5 years, and used a faster machine than that...

That would be fine on most carpets, but I would'nt over estimate how much drier the carpet will be with post bonneting, I don't think it would make that much difference after all it only touches the very top of the fibre, all the moisture further down the pile will not be touched.
On flat commercial carpets a bonnet will help dry the carpet , but a thick pile I don't think so

Thanks all for the quick replies. Really appreciate it

Dri-eaz rover would be the best and would impress ;D
