I've no idea. Tosh has posted nothing in the moderators' section to the effect he's taking time out so I surmise one of three possibilities.

1. Over the new year a couple of posters were even stronger in their "verbal" responses or in initiating strong comments towards him and I wonder if he had a "stuff it I'm off!" moment.

2. He realised he was addicted to the forum - nearly all his stuff was in the "any other rubbish" section and with a bit of (1) above piquing him he had a "stuff it I'm wasting my life on CIU" moment.

3. He's chasing Helen up and down pylons.
