Powerburst at  Ph 11 can damage wool in the short time it dwells on the carpet before it's removed by the rinse. ( according to industry experts  ;) )

So you need to use it with caution and make  a  judgment call.  if the carpet is so trashed that it has already been damaged by misuse then any further damage done by the Powerburst would be insignificant and it would be worth it to create an end result that is pleasing to the client.

So in a nutshell use it if the carpets is knackered and it's the only  way to get it clean, don't use it just because it will make the job quicker & easier :)

Good call Mike................  i used pb yesterday.................  first time in a while,  fantastic results on a seriously trashed wool mix
a very odd location to which i go fairly often, not because i dont clean it well, but because it gets trashed big time, have to say ive not  gone for pb before at this location but it sure made a difference.....  didnt speed it up, it was a long day, but the results were very very good...........  i will be back there in three months, and will be using pb..............(also had a guy threaten me,  try to attack my machine, and had to be interviewed by the local plod, but that a different story)................ one of those sites  that make you realise how lucky you are to be living a fairly decent life.................

SPM and our RPM are both PH 11-12. This was tested and demonstrated at TACCA. Both products too high PH for wool in my opinion. May be fine if trashed and you need something with extra bite.

Hi John,
What would you reccommend on wool just out of interest?

Our most popular products are Chemspec One Clean, both powder and liquid. Prochem Pre-Spray gold and Fibresafe Gold. DFC105 is also another good choice, good on upholstery too and has more eco credentials than any other on the market.

depends? if its one colour you can, but it will damage the feel of the carpet. one reason wool is so popular is its feel under foot. more than one colour and you risk colour run. go wool safe and give it lots of dwell time.

Clive, 210 is a good seller too. This is used as a pre-spray, in tank or for low moisture cleaning. It is a Phosphate free microsplitter. PH 7-8.
