Title: PPI Reclaims
Post by: Ray Kestell on February 07, 2016, 05:11:39 pm
I have just had a big pay in to my bank account. remember when you first started up you needed cash to get started. Well if you were like me, off to the bank you went cap in hand to borrow lots of dosh. Bank manager said ok as long as you took out PPI. Is it coming back to you now. Well you can now get all that back with interest. Think about this I have just been paid back a 5 figure sum to the left of the decimal point. Happy retirement in a few months

Just let your accountant know as the interest you have back is taxable.

Ive been ill last few years on and off and it helped to keep me afloat

First one I had about £500 left to pay as I had Cancer they paid no questions asked

I was expecting them to pay £500 but I got all the loan plus all the interest plus something else I cannot remember

Then Lloyds turned me down for PPI claim on an old Credit Card from Years ago I think I had paid about £300 PPI insurance before I cancelled

Low and behold last October I receive a letter saying they were now going to pay out I cannot remember the actual Sum but it was about 10 times what I paid

There is a new one now  I have a Bank Card that has Travel Insurance AA Breakdown etc not sure how the pay out works as I have not investigated and have used AA breakdown but I think you get back Travel Insurance Element Card Protection Home Emergency, Mobile phone etc if you have not used them so as I have had one for about 15 years should be quite a bit  plus interest etc

My big Problem at present is getting hands on Personal Pension without a Megga Tax Bill as I want to invest elsewhere

Think I will have to borrow and then drawdown interest each year etc

No need for claims management companies who take about third I did it all myself

Ian

I employed a Pensions Adviser who was excellent.  He cost a few quid per hour but worth every penny IMHO
