Title: Aquadapter
Post by: Richard Shepherd on February 06, 2016, 04:21:46 pm
Anyone know what is happening at Aquadapter.

I broke mine just recently but the site says out of stock, no one seems to want to answer the phone when I ring.

He's stopped making them and all parts too  :'(

But there is a new one coming out soon!!  Apparently Window Cleaning Warehouse will be selling them!!

I know it's not easy bringing out a product, but I don't think we are ever going to see this hit the light of day.

I moved over to Aqua taps as they are more reliable than the aquadaptor but the univalve looked to be another step up in performance

Wcw and Steve (before he deleted his account) have been talking about it on Facebook! Sounds like only a couple more weeks to wait

That's been the quote for the last 3 months.....

Steve said the 500 kg mould needed "tweaks" - that's some mould tool, it's either well over engineered or it's designed to mould 20 or 30 of these things per cycle... If it's the latter it maybe months before the toolmaker gets it anywhere near correct so all the mouldings are consistant and interchangeable  >:(

He needs to man up, the ribbing is of his own making by failing to produce things on time.

Bet you £1 Duncan it's still not for sale before March 1st ( a beg I'm more than happy to lose )

Steve had innovated one of the very best products in Wfp industry . The Aqua-Adaptor in my opinion is awesome . Great piece of kit .
The new Univalve could be even better if it's reliable .
If it has good longevity than it will be superb.
• Inside the pole
• No attachments required  to fit
• light
• cheap
• no replacements parts so a throw away item and at £29.99 if it lasts 6 months be cheap and worthwhile .

So give the bloke a bit of slack and appreciate how good his innovation was .
Takes time .....

I think the poor chap should go one step further and put all people slagging him off on a black list and ban them from buying his inventions altogether.  I know I would if it was me ;D

Think he should of continued selling the aqua-Adaptor for a few more months .
But maybe this wasn't possible . We don't know inns and outs .
The univalve has possibly been tweaked and  the odd production tooling fault perhaps .
Not easy .

time to chill and not over anaylise

I'm sure Steve will get it out there .

whether he s a "nice guy" or not his customer service is shocking.there is no way round it.its impossible to get hold of him most of the time.he doesnt answer his phone.wont reply to emails etc.

i had issues with some pole hose a while ago(ordered  some very narrow hose that was too small).he eventually sent some other stuff once i sent the first lot back but it took ages.

the thing is we re all used to gardiners excellent customer service and most wfp companies dont even come close to the same level of service.

i also loved the aqua-daptor for a while but i had 2 of them shear off on the  screw thread within weeks of each other.another just broke in half and fell apart as he tried to make it lighter and lighter.in the end after spending around £300 on them over the course of a few years i fitted a pole tap at brush end for a tenner and thats done me for nearly 2 years now! ;D

How many will be left after the blacklisted people are banned lol

Nice guy, yes. Inventor, yes. Business man? I will leave that to you.
I can feel a ban coming.

The fact that he is a nice bloke and may have been too busy  to answer calls or messages is no excuse for not returning communication or updating people. The purpose of this forum and another one I visit I would have thought was for people to help each other so everyone should be entitled to describe their experiences whether good or bad with the aim of  keeping people informed, it would be wrong of me to criticise someone for heaping praise on something or someone so I don't expect the same in return we are all entitled to our opinions, I have personally received shocking service and I'm not going to say otherwise.
