Recently changed to wfp pole and thought I'd give my windows a clean tonight to see what the results are like. The windows are quiete bad with spotting. My tds is 0 and I'm giving them a good rinse after the scrub. Could this be because its first clean. ??? I've noticed a lot to of the Windows I have been cleaning have actually had what looks like a bit too soap mixtape no in with the purified maybe from in the framework seals? If there anything I can do and will it hopefully clear up after a clean or two???
Cheers ash

scrub and scrub the top of the window, scrub and scrub bars on Windows that run side to side, rinse,on a first clean I do front go to back, then to front and then to back, look at vents if black clean eithe side,as if you clean black vents they will drip and cause you problems, that's what i do and works for me others will have have different methods.
If you have time go back when Windows are dry to inspect, not that easy in winter as Windows stay wet for a while, but easier in summer

spotting can be caused by a few different things.
1. runs from top rubber seals or a dirty wet top frame.
2.not rinsing right down to the bottom of the window.
3.wind blowing dust onto the droplets after you ve cleaned a window.
4.not using enough water to rinse the window properly.
5.runs from underneath top openers dirtying the glass below.
6.runs from inbetween 2 top openers ruining the glass below.
7.not scrubbing and rinsing enough at the top of a window(esp on the lower panes of sash windows)
8.rinsing brush on with a dirty brush and a low flow.
please feel free to add anymore lads! ;D

You will find you'll get this quite a lot on loads of different windows for years to come . But some will be ok .
-
Terrific :D

not all windows will suit wfp cleaning, you will have to do some trad or just let them know your way wont clean them 100%.
better than letting them looc crap with drip lines on the glass, they look crap when dried

If it's not terrible I wouldn't get to anal about it,you are NOT going to get every window spotless end of story, ionic will tell you different if you looking to buy a 15k system but it's pie in the sky you won't. If you think you will walk away from every job with spotless results think again, you've got more chance in seeing Lord Lucan riding Shergar in the next grand national.

I recently switched to wfp after years of traditional. I explained to customers how it works etc etc, but it does also take several cleans to get them upto scratch and so they may see spotting but to bear with it. All trapped dust n squirty etc etc, oils in rubber etc. Ive lost no customers on transitions and no complaints. But also you need to master ur technique and type of brush plays a large part in helping. Plus all the additional variables which other lads on here might explain

nathan ill guarantee you ll lose a few customers but dont worry itll only be the odd one or two and you ll probably pick up more overall in the long run. :)

I know one he uses about 4-5 litres each window I've tried telling him some Windows don't come good, even if he spent another 10 litres on each window the results would be the same. Some Windows with recessed seals are the best to clean they mostly sheet and hardly ever bead up,if all windows were like this it would be a doddle.

First clean or not there's no reason why your windows should be bad with spotting, are you sure they aren't ingrained in
the glass ? the reason I ask this is because you don't seem to get the same coating using wfp as you do with traditional so its
easier to spot flaws in the glass plus because your only using water it can make you more paranoid causing you to inspect the glass at a closer more critical level and then see flaws in the glass that you wouldn't have seen before.
If not then you need to look at the pattern of the spotting, if in lines down the glass then they are caused by water leaking out
from inside the frame, openers vents or dodgy rubber seals.
If the glass is covered then you have a problem with your water or your not spending enough time either scrubbing or rinsing.
Once you have found out the cause then there are plenty of different ways of putting it right which you should easily be able
to sort, but as NWH has said your always going to get the odd bit of spotting somewhere its just the nature of the game but it
wont be at a level where the customer will even notice.

That's right you just need to pay attention to the rooms that get the most attention during daylight hours, you will get spotting in top corners or From the odd top opener but if you want to be quick it comes with the territory. Try and do as good a job as the Windows allow you too.

Do yourself a favour put some virosol in a small washing up liquid bottle mix it 1 part virosol to ten parts water put some on your brush then scrubb frames and glass rinse thoroughly and glass and frames will come out great with no spotting ,
give it a go you wont regret it .

Yes, but if you do this you will need to rinse & rinse & rinse to get rid of the virosol. Best to clean, rinse then repeat every window glass only.

Some Windows love the pole some don't mind it but some won't have it,I have a contract where I did a couple of private flats among a housing association load I do. They were PVC black old seals lol you should have seen the results they were dreadful I had to go in and blade them from the inside,it was embarrassing to see it looked like someone had opened a can of coke on em not good. There's not many of them around these days that I do anyway and it's a good job because it would be pole one lose one lol.
-
if you use pure virosol it will take ages to rinse but if use it diluted AND ADD TO BRUSH IT WORKS FANTASTIC
-
What's in that stuf

ubik2000 is also very good sprayed on the brush i use it all the time
