Title: *New* Gardiners flexible pole hose.
Post by: Jonny 87 on January 28, 2016, 06:13:33 pm
No more wanting to kill everything in sight or of getting tangled or caught on garden gnomes, wheelie bins, plant pots, old ladies with walking sticks etc.......?

This could be the answer....... Mayb. .

I've never known a pole hose lay flat just after its unpacked. Normally it's like a curly pigs tail trying to straighten in out, but not with this.

Only had one day with it, but so far I really like it! Easy to coil up and manage. Time will tell but this could be the pole hose I've been dreaming of. If anyone has used "rhino tube" this feels similar, but more durable.

Down side so far are that it is heavier, but hardly noticeable, and it also doesn't really fit into the John guest push fit fittings as its od is 9mill. So you just need to use one of the "stem-barb" fittings. Works a treat.

Big thumbs up from me so far.

I thought it was good after using it for one day.

But in the wet it tends to twist up on itself.

I'm not entirely convinced yet...

Don't ruin it for me! I've had high hopes for this. Haha.

If you'd written it properly, with a question mark it would have been easier to read.  ;)

Most clients get on well with our standard PVC hose, but for those that like a slightly heavier duty hose this is proving popular and performs and handles well.

If you need to use John Guest fittings with this hose then these items fit very easily - http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/john-guest-fittings/metric-fittings/push-fit-8mm-stem-to-5mm-barb.html

It is a similar class of hose to the Streamline lite5 hose, but is slightly different in feel. We have formulated it to be very flexible and to lay flat in use.

It does get more stretchy when hot, but due to the reinforcing this is held within usable parameters.
