This product is more advanced and has lot of ingredients it not surprising that it performs better. optical brighteners are just great at levelling out wear on both sofas and carpets. just take care when using it around wood as it can damage it if not wiped up right away, as i found out on a wood work top that I dripped some on when filling spray bottle at sink and did not notice. so wood floors are also a risk.

Are there any fabrics you would avoid using this on?
-
Has anyone used fabric restorer on faux leather?
-
I use it on most upholstery that i clean, but beware high percentage viscose as the high ph can alter the colour in some rayon fabrics, just test test before you proceed
-
Yes it's fine to use.

Would this product be ok to use on a linen sofa and will it do a good job?
-
I would be wary on Linen. Best of using a specific cotton cleaner to prevent browning issues.
-
John would you be happy using on faux leather and draylon?
-
Draylon (Acrylic Pile) is usually bomb proof. Faux Leather, I would test first because it does have solvents in which may cause delamination.
