Please excuse my ignorance but I want to try the tubeless pole system and wondered if I can do it this way:-
I use an slx 18 90% of the time with an aquadapter.
I also use a supermax 47 cut down to a 30 at other times and add the rest if the sections when needed.
To go tubeless on both do I need 2 stage ones and 1 stage 2?
Also do I need 50 feet of pole hose connected to my microbore all the time?
Advice appreciated on this one lads?

Bump
-
As far as I can tell it's only pole section 1, the thinnest one, that has the male fitting on the end.
By adding extra pole sections all that is happening is the male fitting is getting further from the pole end bung.
I would have enough pole hose jointed to the normal minibore or microbore hose that means you can add extra pole lengths if you want.
So you would need a Stage 2 for each pole you wish to convert, two in your case, (male fiitings)
and one Stage 1 for the main hose reel. (female fitting).
I think he sells a Stage 1 &2 as a single item then add a stage 2 for your second pole.
-
You will need a pole hose as long as your longest pol.
-
Cheers for the replies lads.
Re the length of pole hose.
If I put 30 feet of pole hose on my microbore wouldn't the 20 or so feet of microbore go up my pole along with the pole hose.
I thought I saw a video of someone who went tubeless with only the pole hose for section 1.
-
If your longest pole fully extended is going to be 30 ft then as long as the pole hose is at least that length then the microbore cannot ever reach the bottom of the pole or go up inside.
Yes I saw the video of the microbore/minibore going up inside the pole but that would add more weight I would have thought.
But it seems possible.
I would just have plenty of pole hose jointed to the minibore instead.

The question begs why would anyone want to use a much heavier and larger diameter type hose that would fit inside a wfp rather than using pole hose for a window cleaning pole?

This is appalling that Steven has not replied to you on here, maybe like selling poles it's to much hassle.
I normally get a reply from him on Facebook.

Thanks for the help lads, I've ordered all my tubeless stuff from Steve.
Waiting for univalve now!!!

He is skint, can't anyone tell? You don't stop selling poles because you can't be @rsed and stop making Aquadapters without having a replacement! Come on!

Surely it would defeat the object of buying and using lightweight wfp's if say using micro or minbore hose as pole hose espesially when used on accute angles and using longer poles ???

Being appalling is your opinion, i have not always got time to spare, checking forums.
But i try my best.
Steve, Im aware of that and have messaged you in the past when there is a thread that I thought you should know about.
Whilst the o/p was asking for help you were active in the univalve one so I'm surprised you didn't see this one.
Lets hope I'm the only one that finds your communication appalling.

What type & extended length of wfp's are you actually on about?

maybe you should get to the gym and get mans arms
we have home made tube less poles running just two inc tails (pole hose) then its straight inside with the micro boar , no nasty loops of pole hose , no need for crapy ball things and no need to cut your pole down nor pay out for needless rubbish
the only time the lads notice the weight is 5 storys and and higher here

Susan, maybe you should have a go at extending a long pole using microbore yourself. Then swap it over with pole hose to see which one you find is easier to use yourself weight wise. Then do the same comparison with water flowing through both and wash a few windows with the pole fully extended.
I would be interested to hear your findings as is nothing to do with how strong you are but is down to good working practices, ergonomics and risk assessment of the process in hand.
As an employer you have a duty of care to your employees to help prevent strain and injury, RSI etc do you not?
-
Thanks Steve, I'm sure you have enough to do without looking at forums all day ;D
-
Quote.
The criteria to convert your poles to tubeless is the sections must all be level at base cap end.
I have found the xtreme pole as stepped sections which creates a problem, not sure about supermax.
If you have cut it down then i assume all sections to be level at the base now
Quote
When I say cut down, I actually meant I just use enough sections of the supermax 47 to reach 30 feet and add the rest when needed.
So I may have to saw off a small part of each section so that all are level at base cap end to make tubeless work.
Is this correct?

duty of care for employees hows that work then ? ok heres a light pole don't worrie about the twisted up mess of pole hose that wraps around you feet and will trip you up , ;D

Don't be a child please.
All is good, and tubeless is very successful and very soon uni-valve to compliment it.

Hi guys
Steven offers some unique products if you don't want to use them don't order from him !
If half of the people who use this forum are as professional as they claim they would not use a public forum to continually berate another business owner.
Problems with services or products should not be made for everybody to have their opinion aired.
If one of our customers had a problem with our service who would we want them to speak to first, the whole street or us ?
It really puts me off the whole forum and I don't know why the moderators don't remove posts that defame someone's reputation.

It always makes me cringe when people come on here and say they think that G********s are the best thing since sliced bread then instead of emailing the company with every minor complaint, they post them here.
G*******s are great btw

I can't help that

It depends which version of the truth is preferred. I come to this forum precisely because of the opinions shared about the window cleaning industry. You appear to state that anyone who does not like a particular product should take it up with the business direct and not share that here - I simply don't agree that that is constructive either for the window cleaner or for the seller/manufacturer.
I believe that I, along with other window cleaners, can differentiate from posts which are openly critical for the sake of it, from those which are airing real concerns for a poorly designed/constructed product. I don't think that it is useful to hide all criticism under the guise of the risk that it may 'defame' a reputation; a reputation can only be enhanced where the concerns are handled, responded to and dealt with in a calm and professional manner. Those 'critical' opinions offer an opportunity where both the manufacturer and the window cleaning community can all benefit.
Your comparison of customers with issues is also instructive - if a customer was delighted with your service would you prefer them to not tell anyone if asked? They should only tell you when they love your service?
The benefit of this forum is that we are able to give honest, albeit subjective, opinions. To attempt to limit those opinions by the removal of posts by moderators is naive.

I think some posts have been deleted on this very thread😮

Dont usually get involved in these type of threads but thats balls...
How on earth can anyone in the world build up any sort of reputation (good or bad) if their customers cant talk about the service and products offered?
Its also a cleaning forum, initially created to help other cleaners with information and share opinions
So if one person says 'i need a pole but i need some recommendations, was thinking of pratpoles.com' but you know they're conartists, you'll just say 'they're great' anyway?
Remind me to never ask you for advice if i ever need it chap, wont have a clue if you mean it ir just dont want to hurt someones feelings...
