Seriously mate as somebody who done the same and who is now paying the price in later life with my health, cut back now before you do the damage.
They don't call greed a deadly sin for nothing.

If you see the types of jobs that matty takes on you will have a better understanding why he tends to work so many hours.
Matty you seriously need to think about employing staff or even start to sub contract the work out for more helpers than just two of you or you may end up in an early grave.

That's better than I put it, sometimes its easy to confuse greed with ambition or just taking on more than you can handle.

I only work about 3 to 4 hours per day.
A 5 hour day is a long one for me.
Far too old to be doing stupid hours these days.

I get the impression it's big one off commercial; jobs. STRESS! I guess he can't turn them down and needs to do them as soon as they need them doing or else lose it.

Come on guys it's not like that, my cost of living is pretty cheap so I don't do it for the money, ok I subsidise my daughters but this is just to help them threw education, an pay my eldests insurance an that .....
It's just ambition, these jobs are one offs last time this got done was at least 8 years ago, and the one I just finished had been attempted a few times but there h&s stopped the previous companies from working due to water coming threw. It's just a bit slow that's all but they happy to pay as long as it's done safe and properly..... No accidents
A few of u no I do a few bits for my local footy team so they keep me on me toes with regular jobs, and then we just have regular day to day commercial work.
Got out this morn at half 4 an finished at 4 to beat trafic getting back home, got to go do a pressure washing job for a customer tho which will take about 6 hour so prob no sleep tonight, first time am doing an over night this year so can't really complain, will prob feel it tomora afternoon
Dazmond if ur mate in Warrington lives near the motorway I may be able to give him a weeks work next week if he's interested, I will pick him up but don't want to venture into Warrington on me way

I do have staff smurf only part timers tho used to have 2 vans on the rd but just use the one now ........ How can I describe it .......... If the rite person comes along I will consider a full time job for them but they have to be right. These jobs are done on a split with me mate we just in the process of registering a ltd company together and hoping to get a few more jobs similar to these, again if we can find the rite lads we can train them up with us and move forward, these have just asked us to move the finish time to the end of this month so forward 10 days as they want us to go see other work asap ....... Fingers crossed

I used to be happy leaving home at 8am and working till 3-4 o'clock, possibly longer when I started 10 years ago. I even did the odd Saturday :o
Now I've got a family I still try and get out at 8am but it ends up 8.30am most days which is when the wife leaves with the kids. I like to try and get to the gym before going home for dinner at 5pm at least 3 days a week. Pick my boy up at 4.15pm from after school clubs a couple of days a week.
I shouldn't have thought I work more than 70-75 hours in the month any more. I have no regular work left from the 22nd of each month
