Ok so my system is pretty leak free apart from this bit which is 2 hozelock connectors , going from the trolley system to my hose reel , if I don't wrap a cloth around the two hozelock connectors, it constantly drips whilst I'm working.
Any ideas that could help me out would be mostly appreciated 👍

Hozelock fittings are not great in my opinion, GF fittings are better, and Claber fittings are even better still.
I try to avoid any of that style fitting these days, in favour of John Guest, which are (in my opinion) the king of fittings.
However, JG don't really have a 'quick-release' option, so for some things you have to use 'hoselock' style, and of course you cannot use JG hose on a hose reel.
-
John guest are what you need or rectus style on the reel.

On one part of hose.
Then on the other part.

Thank you , il give gardiners a ring 👍

Have you tried a smear of silicone grease around the o rings (oooohhh er Mrs !) this usually sorts these out

Just thought, when I disconnect at night to charge, does that mean it will leak all over or will it hold the water in like when you attach you pole hose to your reel?

Only ONE hose will hold the water.
You could fit two of these............
http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hose-fittings-adapters/garden-hose-couplings/quick-release-shut-off-coupling-with-a-hose-barb.html
and then join with one of these......
http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hose-fittings-adapters/garden-hose-couplings/male-to-male-garden-hose-coupling.html
But i suspect it will either drip OR be a nightmare to take apart.

That's what I'm trying to do mate , I had them ages and just trying to upgrade bits and bobs
-
replace the little black o rings on the connector , they wear out as do the hose lock fittings.
Have they been on a while? Russ
-
I think since about June last year I put them on , so not been a year yet. Fed up of drips so I don't mind spending abit on decent fittings if it's a case of you get what you pay for
-
It would be an expensive way of doing it but you could do this.....
Use two of these..
http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hose-fittings-adapters/garden-hose-couplings/quick-release-shut-off-coupling-with-a-hose-barb.html
Then make up a link hose with this fitting at each end.
http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hose-fittings-adapters/garden-hose-couplings/quick-release-metal-hose-plug-with-a-hose-barb.html
They will NOT leak. Not had a drip from mine in nearly 2 years!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have some fittings which are 3 years old and still leak free.

That would work :)
You could also replace the middle part with these two parts screwed together:
http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hose-fittings-adapters/garden-hose-couplings/quick-release-metal-hose-plug-with-a-female-screw-socket.html

I did think of that as well :) But was a little unsure.

That's all that's required. ;)
-
Thanks guys really appreciate that , gonna order a few things in a bit 👍

I've run an entirely leak free twin DI system for 12 years with Hozelock type fittings throughout. Never had to waterproof any of my vans. Regular "O" ring changes and decent fittings and hose are what's required. "O" rings can be had from ebay by the hundred for a couple of quid and the best fittings I've come across, which I only use now are B&Q's own brand- they are Blue and only a quid each- better than genuine Hozelock. ;)
-
For once chumbucket is right . I use the same , leak free system . The cheap b&q ones are the best . Better than the dearer hozelock . No leaks at all in my van .

I corrected that for you mate. ;)
-
I've tried my system years ago with all hozelock fittings and nearly all of them leaked from day 1,to much pressure for them to handle they'll keep blowing off when you dead end mostly.

When you know how to set a system up this doesn't happen. ;D

I must admit it is tricky putting hose together from a pump to di to hose reel, replacing washers on hose lock fittings lol blimey it gets better by the month on here.

You're the one who couldn't achieve it mate, not me!! ;)
Mine don't leak, nor is my system so over pressurised that any connectors pop off either.
-
If they work for you crack on but there hardly quality are they and if they leaked you shouldn't be surprised,I would rather buy and use things that are going to last it's all only an opinion on here take what you want from it if we didn't give an opinion on threads there would be no forum.Im telling the bloke to buy the right thing for the job so he's not down B&Q every 5 minutes.

Nearly 13 years with a leak free system, I'm not down at B&Q every Five minutes either mine last months and even years. However, they are readily available should anyone need a replacement, best of all is the best ones by far are B&Q's own brand at just £1 each and replacement "O" rings are just a couple of quid per hundred from ebay.
I'm only telling the bloke that he has no need to listen to you, as you are clearly not in a position to advise!! ;D
-
I don't think there's anyone on here stupid enough to buy from ionic is there lol,I bet you are always in your shed chum bucket aren't you.

Again, you are the one who has struggled to set up your system and then suffered leaks- not me!! ;)

Trouble is you'll never keep your tax bill down with prices like those. I prefer to pay hundreds for one o ring instead of hundreds of rings for a pound.
-
Hello Dave rattle your cage a bit did it that TAX discussion.
-
Dave knows a thing or 2 about rings he quiet often talks through 1.
