Cheers Dave i have been in two minds whether to go for snowboots or some Goretex hiking boots i suppose either way they will be knackered within 3-4 months .

They were cheap so for the price of one pair of decent goretex boots I got two pairs of chillkats. Haven't  leaked yet. They are pretty chunky but I can drive the van easily with them.

They are the same thing as the biscuit munching rain water user was recommending years ago.

Had a look at the Onyx saftey boot yesterday they felt quite light and looked good and have really good reviews , I decided to get some Merrell Moab Polar boots as they were a bit cheaper £62.06 including next day delivery i have yet to find any boots that are as comfy to were as Merrell's

Snow and rain forecast for this coming week so need some new boots as feet have got wet this past week with my 2 pairs of Karrimor's despite cleaning and re-proofing as and when needed .
