Title: Handwash (festive edition!)
Post by: Steven Butler on December 30, 2015, 10:09:20 am
Any idea what is in antibacterial handwash that could cause permanent staining.
Been to a job where kids had thrown a full bottle down stairs, literally looked like a full red/pink tin of paint had been spilt, every single step covered.
I couldn't remove it or even improve it, to be honest i wouldnt have attempted it if it wasnt a repeat customer.
Still dissapointed though...
Is there anything added that could cause permanent staining? It was bright red

My Aldi blue one has got CI 42090 which is a blue colorant so I guess that had a red one.

Hand sanitizer often bleaches out the colour of carpet.   This can be corrected by spot dyeing the area.

I will be coming to England in May 2016 to teach colour repair for carpet and rugs.
