for what motor ? if its just replacing the 1200w electro with a 1500w is just a case of opening the nuts , removing the vac and replacing it with the 1500w version .

For the 6.6s :)
-
OK , there is a good bit of poking around to fit the 6.6 ... but not too bad .
go down to the ' pimp my airflex ' thread and i put up a pic of the 6.6 in my enforcer . Basically u just remove the 5.7 , the metal adapter attached to it comes off with it .
You are left with the outer 7.2 bolt configuration . The little steel plates i made the spacers from can be got in most hardware tool places , cut them and drill a hole . Thats it for the top motor , u will need a thicker foam gasket for the 6.6 , i think i used two on top of each other . But i have neoprene foam i got on ebay to make gaskets also .
The bottom motor i have not done yet as i think one of the mounting bolts will have to elongated with a joiner to be high enough to go through the motors bolt hole . Il let u know how that goes ..
unless u get to it before me !

You see.... This is what i like about you John... You take the time out to answer a question Properly & with detail :)
You appear to be the Master when it comes to Booster Box construction & have real knowledge about them & their power consumption, suction & airflow etc etc
& your not Selfish or Ignorant with your knowledge...
I wish Everyone was as forthcoming with their knowledge... After all, My view is we are all a Brotherhood in our industry...
So why not share it out so we can all be the best we can possibly be... :) (just my personal view)...

James you probably don't realize that many of the suppliers and manufacturers of carpet cleaning machines on this section just cringe at the way he dismisses on their machines, just like the many producers and suppliers of cleaning solutions on this section which he also dismisses as watery p--- etc, he is happier in producing his own off the scale potions and macGyver cleaning machines, he should just get a truckmount some safe and effective cleaning solutions and be done with it. Tadgh

Tadgh, I can see John very positive person on this forum. Can not see him talking poop about machines except one on which he is deadly right.
His talk about chems is also correct, found all he said in real daily cleanings. While I use all chems he said negative comments about I also have planty of other chemicals and boosters as you can not clean all with microsolitters, misceles etc. as they not that effective as more expensive designed detergents which are a mix of many chems.
It is true all these cheap "eco" chemicals are popular as are cheaper to buy, cheaper to make and thats why are pushed by suppliers, easy money.

How much real world difference will this make to drying times?
Eg:....Will changing the vacs make the carpets dry 20% quicker? Or is it more a case that stronger vacs enable longer hose runs so you can run 100ft rather than 50ft with the standard vacs fitted.

I cant really comment on the chemical side of things John uses or talks about as i have not read all his posts...
But when it comes to the Nuts & Bolts of Extraction machines themselves, Then yes... I can understand why many Suppliers & Manufacturers may well be "Cringing" lol
Think about it... Here is a man who has been kind enough to guide one & all with his gift of knowledge (im especially talking about the booster boxes here)... John has built Excellent Boosterboxes that take an ordinary Machine to close to Truckmount Vacuum Power for a Fraction of the cost of a Truckmount with his So called "MacGuyver Machines"... So, Why would he or anyone need to invest many 10's of thousands of pounds in one if you can pretty much re-create their power for less than £1000?
Dont get me wrong though... obviously Truckmounts are Excellent... But John helps & guides those who like to tweak & get the Max out of their portables, & i think thats Brilliant... :)
If John has said (i dont know...) That any certain extraction machine is poope... Then im sure their is good reason for it.
in my opinion he has taken the most Visually Badass Machine on the market & made its Performance even better & created Extremely professional looking Boosterboxes that compliment the Looks of the Enforcer Exactly & gives them Beyond next level power!
So... I think we should be thankful to John for his contributions... i cant wait to test out my boosterbox... the last components will arrive early next week :)
