Just starting out. What would be the best pole and brush to buy for a newbie please?
-
Depends on your budget, the SLX from Gardiners is a good sturdy pole and if you cant stretch that far the CLX is the
next best.
-
Go on to Gardiners website and they have a video explaining their brush range, its then up to you but all Gardiner
brushes are hard to beat.

I started back in April and Gardiners recommended a CLX-22 with a medium mixed dual trim brush. A 22 foot pole allows you to get to windows above conservatory roofs (where an 18 foot might not). The CLX has been pretty good but I'll look at getting an SLX from Gardiners next year which will be lighter. If you can afford it I'd suggest an SLX.

hi paul.....i have the clx from gardiner the highest the clx range goes is 31ft so about 35ft reach, you`re looking at 3rd floor height.
if you want higher than that you may want to go carbon, i personally would`nt use carbon at less than 35ft unless your a girl ;D ;D

Lol it doesn't matter how big your arms and shoulders are its the tendons that take all the hammering day in day out ,the heavier pole even slightly heavier will cause more strain. IMO I wouldnt waste money on a cheap pole unless you really have to,I reckon a pole like an extreme is worth another 2-3 houses a day at least in the strain it will save you. I was working the other day and had a laugh to myself thinking about the old orange and green fibreglass poles we used to use lol

if budgets really tight a few months with a harris then move up to a better pole

Thanks looks like a 22 gardiner pole and brush then ;D
